Salon Lasers, Inc
As you consult with clients, you will explain that the laser is only part of the solution. The laser is the “stimulator” used to create that fuller, thicker look they want. However, to eliminate the original cause of their problem, clients will need to use retail products that control the DHT levels (the cause of their original hair loss).
1. Laser - Stimulates the hair
2. Products - Control DHT
Dihydrotestosterone or DHT is the principal cause of androgenetic hair loss. This type of hair loss makes up about 95% of all of the people suffering from hair loss. To have long term success in stopping hair loss and keeping the gain you create with the laser, you must help the client to control DHT levels. We can recommend, and supply retail products to control or block DHT development. These products must be continued even after the laser treatments stop in order to ensure the long term retention of the improved look of their hair. There is amazing potential for profit from your retail sales of these products in the future.
After a few years of laser client treatments, you will have built a strong retail client base for the products that help control DHT. If the clients discontinue use of these products, it is likely that they will loose whatever they gained from the laser treatments. Clients are extremely loyal to the products and want to protect the investment they have made in their hair. This creates a long-term, continuous stream of revenue from the sale these products.
We also offer home lasers that you can retail to your clients. You will not need to invest in any inventory. We will ship the home laser directly to your customer. It may not be practical for every client to drive to the salon twice a week and a home laser may be the solutuin for these clients. You will have a variety of options to help your customers and offer new profits for your salon through Salon Lasers, Inc.
FDA Approves lasers for hair growth
February 2010 the FDA cleared a new hood laser for hair growth, the MEP-90 Hair Growth Stimulation System. The FDA report stated:
• After 10 weeks, 92% of the female subjects demonstrated an increased hair count.
• After 18 weeks, 97% of the female subjects demonstrated an increased hair count.
• After 18 weeks, 98% of the female subjects indicated a medically significant stabilization of their rate of hair loss.
The MEP-90 is a medical device and can not be used in a salon. (Read more about the FDA study.)
January 2007 the FDA cleared the first device in history to re-grow hair, the HairMax LaserComb
. The report stated:
• Effective on 93% of male subjects between 30-60 years of age
• Grew an average of 19 new hairs per centimeter
• Results were obtained in 6 months.
The LaserComb is an over-the-counter medical device and can not be used in a salon.
Salon Lasers cosmetic laser hoods can be used in salons and have the same type of laser technology as the models used in the FDA studies.
Cosmetic lasers are not medical devices, and therefore, we do not claim that they make physiological changes in the body, i.e, grow hair.
Cosmetic lasers can be used in the salon to improve the appearance of the hair by creating a fuller, thicker look and feel. To see our complete line of Cosmetic Lasers visit our Products Page.
Our professional cosmetic lasers, designed especially for salons, have 50 to 90 high quality laser diodes (more power than the laser in the TV story). And our lasers come with everything needed to get started including educational and marketing materials.
